Dear Parents/Carers, We will be celebrating World Book Day on Friday, 6th March and invite all children to come to school dressed as a character from a book, or alternatively, they may choose to wear their pyjamas for a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

World Book Day is not only a celebration of reading but also an important reminder of the value of reading at home. Encouraging your child to read regularly can significantly enhance their literacy skills and foster a lifelong love for books.

Free Books

As part of World Book Day each child will receive a book token which you can take to any book shop (e.g. Tesco, Sainsbury’s WH Smith, Waterstones, Morrisons) and swap it for a free book or £1 off another book of your choice. Thank you for your continued support in promoting a love of reading within our school community.

We look forward to seeing the creative costumes and celebrating the joy of books together!
